- Fold slide sheet in half
- Roll slide sheet up at one side of the folded sheet, not at the ‘open’ or ‘folded’ ends. Open end towards the top end of the bed
- Roll resident into side lying and place rolled edge of sheet along residents back and tuck in
- Roll resident back onto slide sheet at the same time unroll so sheet is flat. Resident has legs bent, feet flat on bed.
- Each staff member grips top slide sheet in hand and while maintaining good posture, shifts weight through legs so that top sheet moves toward bed head
